The first month of 2018 is over. So far, my 2018 has been great. School has been fun and semi-easy, dance has been great, I’ve been pretty consistent with this blog, and overall, I just feel really productive and happy. Also, this is my first reacp, so let me know if you like these.
School Recap
Chorus: We’ve been working on our new music, most of which I like 🙂
Gym/Health: We’ve been in health all month (ew) which I don’t like, but today is our first day back in gym! We’re starting volleyball.
History: We just finished a unit on Rome and the spread of Christianity, which was super interesting and pretty easy.
Spanish: I don’t really like Spanish so there isn’t much to say, but we’ve just been doing vocab and grammar.
English: We finished up the novel To Kill a Mockingbird and have a midterm on Tuesday! 😦
Biology: We’re currently doing a unit on Mitosis and Meiosis, which is super confusing, but I’m liking.
Math: We’re working on substitution for linear equations and inequalities, which I like because it makes a lot of sense to me.
Book/Movie Recap:
Books: So far, I’ve read Only Pirate at the Party by Lindsey Stirling, Mr. Lemoncello’s Great Library Race by Chris Grabenstein, and I’m currently reading All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven. I highly recommend All the Bright Places, it’s so good (but really sad)!
Movies: I rarely go see movies in theaters, but I saw “The Greatest Showman” (twice) and it was pretty good. I really liked the music and the story. I also watched “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” (not in theaters) and I love that movie cause I love Harry Potter 🙂
Dance Recap:
Dance has been great so far, we’ve been working on a couple new dances for a benefit concert coming up in March, doing some work for Winter Camp (which I’m not really involved in as it is the middle-schoolers project, but I’ve heard a lot about it from them and kinda done some behind the scenes stuff), and been doing a lot of choreography on my own. Teaching my younger kids has been great, see this post for a little more on that 🙂
Comment down below if you like monthly recaps and if I should keep doing them, and let me know how your January was!
